Cascading Card

IMG_0830
This card I made for my sister’s birthday.
I started out with 2 5 1/2″ X 12″ pieces of cardstock. Score each at 2″ – 4″ – 6″ – 8″ and 10″. On one end of each piece measure down 1″ and mark, now draw a line from this mark t.o the top corner of the other end, cut. This will give you the angle at the top of your card. Now that you have your angles mark from the bottom of the pieces, on the wider end measure up 2 1/2″ and at the narrow end measure up 2 1/4″, now draw a light line from one mark to the other. On one piece cut up to the line at the 2″ – 6″ & 10″ score lines. On the other piece cut down to the line at the 2″ – 6″ & 10″ score lines. Slide the two parts together at the slits.

On this card I cut a piece of cardstock to stamp my message on to fit the back of the card. I decorated it with hand made flowers and butterflies

On this card I put the message on the front of the card. There is no limits to what you can do with this card. The good thing is it folds flat for mailing. Like most of my card with all the embellishments you will have to add extra postage.
