Box card

I had a friend ask if I would teach her how to make this box card, so I thought I need to write it up anyway, so add it to my blog.
First cut a piece of cardstock at 9 1/4″ X 5 1/2″. On the 9 1/4″ side score at 2 1/8″ – 4 1/4″ – 6 3/8″ and 8 1/2″. On the 5 1/2″ side score at 2 1/2″.

Cut down the top score lines to the middle score line. Cut away the top part of the tab.

Fold your score lines, put tape on the tab. I fold it to the center and lay the other half on top. I think this is the easy way to match it up.

Using cardstock cut 2 or 3 pieces at 3″ X 1″, these will be glued inside for your décor. Score at 1/2″ from each end. Glue inside the box.

Out of pattern paper cut 1 at 2″ X 5 1/4″ and 6 at 1 7/8″ X 2 1/4″, 3 at 2 3/4″ X 1 7/8″. These will be used to decorate your box inside and out.
This box will fit into a A2 envelope. For a larger card that will take a 6″ X 9″ envelope, use the following measurements, and follow the same steps as above.
Cut your cardstock at 6 1/2″ X 12″, scoring at 2 3/4″ – 5 1/2″ – 8 1/4″ and 11″ on the long side, and score on the short side score at 2 3/4″.
