Notepad House

This was a fun project to work out. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. So here we go with the instructions.
For the house base cut 2 pieces of cardstock at 7″ X 6″.
On the 7″ side score at 1″ and 4″ on both pieces of cardstock. On the 6″ side score at 1 1/2″ 4 3/4″ on both pieces.
I hope this makes sense to you because I worried about how to word it. On the 7″ side, in the 3″ part mark the center and draw a line from the center to the edge of the 3″ square. This will make the points of the house. On one side of each sheet, do 2 peeks and on the other side do one peek. The 2 peek side will be the floor of the house and the one peek will be the eves. If you are using a cardstock that is different on both sides make sure your 2 pieces mirror each other.
On 1 piece make your opening, on one section that does not have a peek. From the score line measure in 1/2″ on both sides and measure up 2″. cut this section out.
Fold on the score lines all but the peeks. Cut a 3″ square and glue the house to it. (4 peeks to the square)
Now for the front and back walls and the roof, cut a piece of cardstock at 3 1/4″ X 11″, score at 1/2″, 3 3/4″, 5 3/5″ and 7 5/8″. Sorry I didn’t take a picture of this step.
Fold on the score lines, glue the 3/4″ to the bottom of the house. The other score lines will fit around the top of your house. I did have to trim my peeks just alittle for a better fit. I just eye balled it till I thought it looked better.
For the roof I cut strips of core’dinations Chocolate Box at 2″ X 3 1/4″, Used a border punch on one side for the shingles. I punched 1 strip on both sides for the very top of the eves of the house.
I sat the house on a 4″ X 4″ piece of chip board covered with green pattern paper. Then I had fun decorating. For the chimney I cut cardstock at 1 1/2″ X 3 3/4″, scoring at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/4″ and 3″. Glue into a square and I cut 2 V’s so it would fit on the roof. The door and windows I cut from scraps. My bike, tree, fence and Lamp post were from a Cricut cartridge. The truck was a rubber stamp and the flowers on the tree were a die cut.
To open it the from lifts up and props on the eves. stays closed with magnets.
